2011 Christmas and Holiday Parade
Pack 71 participated in the 2011 Leesburg Christmas and Holiday Parade December 10, 2011. More than 30 boys and their adults walked the 1 mile course down King Street from Ida Lee Park to the Safeway, while the youngest boys rode the "Camping at the North Pole" float while pretending to roast marshmallows between the North Pole and their tent.

A message from our Popcorn Colonel
Hello all,
Here's a follow up to the brief presentation at the 9/22 pack meeting. As I said, online ordering has benefits. Family and friends from out of town can order with ease on the website and the popcorn will be shipped directly to them. If you are able to utilize the Square Up device for the smartphone, that will increase sales. Not everyone carries a checkbook or enough cash to purchase popcorn on the spot. This works around that. Again, you can go to www.squareup.com and request a free device to be sent to you. You will need to set up an account with them with your banking account information. With each sale the money will go in to the account that you set up and then you will just cut a check for that same amount that you will include with your order form. Please set up an account with the popcorn company, www.trails-end.com.
Here are step by step instructions on how to register with ease:
A. Homepage > Click on "Scouts" button located in lower left corner
B. Click on "Create an Account" in upper right corner
C. Choose either "Create an Account" if you don't have one from last year.
If you do have an account, Sign In.
D. You will need to create separate accounts if you have more than one scout in the pack.
Note: You will need one email address per scout, two scouts cannot share one email address.
Fill in required information. Select "Pack" and enter 71 in the "Number" field
E. On the next page, enter your email address. In the "First Name" field, type in your
SCOUT's first name. In the "Last Initial" field, type in the first letter of your SCOUT's last name.
F. An email will be sent to the parent's email account to verify. Click on the link in the email to finish up.
G. Click on "Create Account & Sign In"
H. You're ready to go!
I. To send Sales Emails, click on the "Popcorn Sales" rollover tag and click on "Send Emails"
J. (Optional) You can customize your scout
Family and friends who order online to support you will also need to set up an account on the website. This will hold their billing information and shipping address. They will go to the main page at www.trails-end.com/estore.
I am also working on organizing some tables outside of grocery stores and restaurants. More to come on that. The boys love to be visable and sell to real people. Can't miss out on that great opportunity!!

Hi, my name is ___________, and I am with ____________. I'm selling popcorn to raise money for the things I like to do in Scouting. The popcorn is delicious and there are many different kinds to choose from. Will you please help support me? (Always say "Thank You" when you are done)
Lastly, please contact me with anything big or small that you may have. I'm here to support you. I am at school most days and you can always send in a note with your child. I have an PTA envelope in the office and the lovely ladies in the office will just stick it in there. I will be in contact as more suggesstions come in or I learn of opportunities!
